Dear Friend,
I am writing this letter today, out of desperation - we are desperate for help and for hope.
For the last six years I have watched my twin sister waste away with a debilitating disease called RSD. Essentially, Fern’s pain receptors are set permanently at maximum. She feels as though she has been doused in oil and set fire to – all the time.
The doctors here in Canada have tried everything. Fern has undergone one painful, intrusive treatment after another – many of which had side effects almost as bad as the disease itself. A spinal disc was even accidentally torn during one therapy, causing her to require disc replacement surgery.
Nothing has worked, and Fern is running out of hope. We have watched, helpless, as she turned from an energetic, joyful mother of three, to a frightened, pain-wracked invalid.
But there is one last hope. Fern has been recommended for an experimental treatment in Mexico. The Ketamine Coma Trial is extremely dangerous, and very expensive, but it’s the only chance she has left to get her life back.
We have to raise $75,000 in 90 days – and we really need your help!
Thanks for reading, and for caring.
With best wishes,

Faith Wood
Yes, it’s an awe inspiring task, but every $35 we receive from people like you brings us one hour closer to helping Fern get her life back.
Please help us to make this happen for Fern and her family. Her children need their mother back, and we all need to see her whole and healthy again.
Remember - every dollar you can spare gives Fern a chance.
You should know that 100% of the money donated is going directly toward medical and other expenses involved in Fern's treatment. Read more...
